Over the centuries, there has been almost a consensus among Muslims and non-Muslims that crucifixion of Jesus is denied in Qur’an, mainly because al-Nisāʾ 4:157. This overwhelmingly accepted interpretation challenged recent times, albeit by small minority scholars, suggesting novel interpretations 4:157 seeking support from history other verses. study first reviews how, early days Islam, denying was always seen both as established Islamic view.
